The Simple Things.

Here are some things I think about life.

Very little feels better than a hot (like burn your flesh off, hot) shower on a cold day.

Nothing smells better than a babies head just out of the bath. (You just took a deep breath in as if you can actually smell it didn't you.)

Nothing sounds better than a child laughing (I mean really laughing, from down in their soul.)

That Utah with it's open spaces and double mountain ranges has some of the prettiest sunsets you ever will see. ( I guess there are some advantages to not having any green trees around.)

As far as taste goes I think it's one of those things that's really personal. But some of the things I love are Chocolate, Chocolate ice cream, mashed potatoes and gravy, brownies, taco salads, grape juice, and a really fresh salad with lots of extras.

I was just enjoying some of these things in my life and thought I'd share them with you. I know everyone's love's are different. So take a second to share with me what your 5 senses teasers are.

She thinks I'm a Princess.

Moriella wears a skirt everyday of her life. She is so girly, and she is the prettiest princess. But despite what these pictures show she doesn't wear dresses, or pants, just skirts. She is always doing twirls in her skirts and loves to be feminine. What a fun age. We love our little princess.

Notice how she holds her hands like a princess, naturally.

She also thinks I'm a princess. I think she's the first person in my whole life to really believe this. She goes in my closet everyday, and finds me a skirt to wear. So now I shop, eat, play with my kids and clean toilets in a skirt. Some of you might ask why I play along. To that I say Why Not? I get to act like a princess and do twirls with my cute little girl and it's not very long in life that your kids actually think you're cool. So I might as well hang with her while I've got the chance. This is us doing our twirls for the day.

Christmas Pictures Bring Peace and Joy.

My Brother-in-law, Brian, took these pictures and we had a nephew that wanted to be in the pics, when he couldn't he wacked Brian in his manhood. That's why we're laughing. All in the name of pictures.

Christmas card pictures are always fun. I was crazy this year and when the first ones didn't turn out I tortured my family further by doing it again. Here are some of the ones that didn't make the actual card.

Your heros.

Greatest Hero!

Who Is Your Hero?

Super Hero? Batman...all the way! Ditto.

Real Life Hero? (Someone you know personally) Our parents. Chris and I have the best parents. I totally scored in parents and In-laws.

Political Hero? Abraham Lincoln. Ditto.

Literary Hero? (That means fictional character from a book) I don't read a whole lot I don't have time.

Historic Hero? The founding fahters. They had the courage to say "In God We Trust", which is made to seem wrong now days. It's not wrong it's necessary.

Book of Mormon Hero? Ammon

Bible Hero? (Besides Christ cause He is everyone's ultimate hero) Ruth and Naiomi

If you were a super-hero what would your power be? x-ray vision

What would your symbol be? underwear(because I would be able to see what everyone was wearing. Ah ha ha.

Family History Hero? Mary Fielding Smith! Sure why not.

What is the most heroic thing you have ever witnessed? a mother who gave her all to her children.

What is the most heroic thing you have ever done? This year I made it possible for my parents to go on a mission.

There is a hero in all of us, what is your trait(s) that make you one? I would do anything for anyone, to a fault usually. But I guess my trait would be interacting with kids, I think I am really good with kids.

Who has become your newest hero in the past week? My friend took on someone elses kid that got taken away from their parent because of neglect. Seeing my sister do it I know how hard it is to take on someone elses kid.

Now it is your turn. Once you have read this you must copy it to your blog/myspace and change the answers for yourself!

Happy Birthday Steve. 10/20/08

What do you get the guy who has everything? We decided to take him balloons. The kids absolutely loved it. They picked out the balloons and the party hats and were so excited to go.
We are so lucky to live close to Chris and I's(5 hours away from mine but still close) parents. My kids share a special bond with Steve. We love him because he's a big teddy bear at heart. He's a wrestling, laid back, laughing kind of Grandpa. We love to get little drawings from him. We love you Dad.

My Dear Country. 11/4/08

Norah says it all here. Click on her song in my playlist to hear it.

"My Dear Country"
By Norah Jones

'Twas Halloween and the ghosts were out,
And everywhere they'd go, they shout,
And though I covered my eyes I knew,
They'd go away.

But fear's the only thing I saw,
And three days later 'twas clear to all,
That nothing is as scary as election day.

But the day after is darker,
And darker and darker it goes,
Who knows, maybe the plans will change,
Who knows, maybe he's not deranged.

The news men know what they know, but they,
Know even less than what they say,
And I don't know who I can trust,
For they come what may.

'cause we believed in our candidate,
But even more it's the one we hate,
I needed someone I could shake,
On election day.

But the day after is darker,
And deeper and deeper we go,
Who knows, maybe it's all a dream,
Who knows if I'll wake up and scream.

I love the things that you've given me,
I cherish you my dear country,
But sometimes I don't understand,
The way we play.

I love the things that you've given me,
And most of all that I am free,
To have a song that I can sing,
On election day.

Happy Birthday Datan. 10/21/08

Happy Birthday Datan.

What I love about Datan:
He has a good kind heart.
He loves babies and being a big brother.
He is so good with both his siblings.
He is so smart and loves to learn especially about the human body, it is so fun as a Mom to teach him.
He has such enthusiasm for life that is just infectious.

Thanks for your excitement and love you bring to our life we love you son.

I swore this would never happen to me. 10/7/08

I never say never. Really. But I always swore I would never let this happen to me. I keep all my scissors on the very top shelf and never let my kids use them unsupervised. Somehow Moriella got a pair of scissors.
me- Where did you get those? Give them to Mom.
Moriella- hehe,he(runs in the house.)
me- (Finish saying good-bye to my sister-in-law about 1.5 min. and go in the house.)
Moriella-Mom do I look pretty?
me-(totally distracted by my day) Yeah. (Walk in the other room find chunk of hair next to scissors.) scream!!!!

She had lopped off the right side of her hair. So here she is getting it fixed. Her Dad is so sad.

Here's the end result. Not as bad as it could have been.

Time with Family. 10/4/08

These are the are two babies four months ago.

Moriella and Tsadakah were double trouble.

Our time spent with family is always so much fun.
