Moriella is Four.

My little Mama Girl turned four. She has really gotten into babies and her baby dolls lately so we did a mama and baby doll party. The dolls and girls played ring-around-the-rosies, duck duck goose and other kid games together. Then the girls learned how to diaper and swaddle their babies.

My sister gave me the idea for this baby in a carriage cake.

Then we come to our accidental tradition. For my birthday in January the kids and Chris made me breakfast in bed (a bagel and cream of cheese with orange juice.) So forward to 9:00pm the night before Moriella's Birthday, which happened to be a very long busy day. Moriella says to me, "tomorrow morning you're going to come into my room and wake me up and sing Happy Birthday and give me breakfast in bed. :) How could we not. Thankfully my husband went to the store because I was so tired. Got the bagels and pink milk. I think this may have been her favorite part of the day. No I know to have bagels on hand the night before a birthday.

Easter 2010

Our neighborhood is awesome and we have great parties every year. Here are some pictures of the Easter Egg hunt.

Easter was a really crazy this year since it landed on Conference and I love to do Conf. Breakfast for all my In-Laws. We do omlets every year it's been a really fun tradition. But we had to do all our family Easter stuff before everyone came and the night before we had to clean and chop all the veggies. Then Monday was Moriella's birthday and party. So it was a hectic weekend. But it was really fun.

Anxious Two year old + long winded MC = Hunting for eggs early. Then busted by Dad = This picture.

1st Place at the Science Fair.

Datan loves to learn and is extremely curious about everything. Especially science. As you can imagine I love that and probably feed his curiosity. So when his teacher gave us a science fair packet and said he would be good at it. We went right to work. Datan had several ideas that were too complicated. But Mom helped him find one on his level. It was really simple and it still took forever with all the reports and things they wanted filled out. We had fun doing it together and all our hard work paid off. He won first place for his grade. I think he won because he really understands the concept and could tell the judges all about how it worked. He goes to the Regional Science Fair tomorrow so wish him luck.

Two Cute Boys and Crazy Hair Day.

My SIL and I have kids the same age and same gender. The older boys and the girls have always been friends. Kind of forced on them by their mothers. :) But these two boys never really spent a lot of time together when they were young. But recently they have discovered each other. They love each other these days and ask for each other by name. They have so much fun together. Yeah for best friends.

Here is Datan's first time doing crazy hair Day at school. He said he was second best in his class. Apparently some boy with really long hair did a sweet Mohawk that was a little bit cooler.

My new attire.

I had this shirt made of all my little monsters....

....yes there's a boy, girl, boy, and baby!!!!

We are expecting our forth at the end of September. We are so excited and all the kids think it's a girl which would follow the pattern and be really fun. We find out May 5th. We'll let you know.

Because my Camara sucks.

Well once again I am without a camera. Our new piece of hud is burning through batteries like no bodies business. I know that digital cameras will do that but this is different. When you put brand new batteries in the stupid thing says you need to change the batteries. I tried to just push past it and take a pictures anyway but after about three it shuts down until I am willing to throw away more money in the form of batteries and try and capture another moment.

At least the camera is under warranty all I have to do now is find the time to take it in with my three kids in tow.

So since I have no pictures to share I will just comment about my blog. I think it may be time for a new family picture. What do you think?

And where have all the bloggers gone. It seems like everyone has taken a post hiatus. Hopefully you are all well and just really busy and happy. Can't wait for your return to posting.

A Pretty, Pretty Princess and a sleepy boy.

Apparently he's not ready to give up naps yet. I hate this stage where, if you give them a nap they're up all night. But if you skip the nap they fall asleep at like 5pm. It's a total conundrum.

Our friend Wendy is the best with kids. She always plays with them. This day we played Pretty Pretty Princess with Moriella. You would of thought she had died and gone to heaven. She was grinning from ear to ear.

Moriella has recently fallen in love with building Legos. Datan hardly ever plays with them, although all his friends are into it. But Moriella has just been loving building things. This is her airplane.

Christmas 2009

This is Stratton Horace, my brother's new baby. Moriella got to feed him his bottle with my help while we were there. She was so happy. I think it made her happier than Christmas morning did. Isn't he cute. They think he looks like an old man but apparently old man looks good on him.

This is why we do it all. All the crazy shopping, all the late night wrappings, the money spent etc. all for this moment of awe.

Of course the nativity picture. Moriella didn't get to be Mary for the Reids so she was so excited to be Mary for the Fershtuts.

Most mornings in the quiet of the day you could find my Moriella in this chair playing with the baby Jesus and Mother Mary. One of my favorite quiet moments of the season, simply beautiful.

And of course the Charly Brown Tree we cut down every year. This one was nice and full but quite lop sided, but the pickings were slim this year.

Here is the Christmas Train at the live Nativity at Tuachan. If you ever get the chance to go it is amazing with live animals and an outdoor amphitheater.

Two Trophies in One Day

Moriella started Dance and Gymnastics this year and has really enjoyed them both. It is so cute to see her semi-shy dancing.

Datan played flag football this year and soccer again. He liked flag football the best but it made for a crazy fall since both were on the same night sometimes. They both ended on the same day so he was thrilled to get two trophies on the same day.

Halloween comes before Christmas.

Datan wanted to be a ghost this Halloween and Moriella wanted to be a purple monster. So I decided to do classic Halloween and have Asher be Frankenstein and I was a witch. It was really fun and I love the ages the kids are for Halloween.
